This opportunity resides with Global Security (GS). Mission Technologies' Global Security (GS) group comprises live, virtual, constructive (LVC) solutions; fleet sustainment; nuclear and environmental; and Australia business.

Who We Are

Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is seeking a highly qualified Information Warfare Technical Integrator. This on-site position is located at the Global Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) Operations Center in Dam Neck, VA, supporting the Navy Surface Warfare Center Corona (NSWC Corona) in delivering LVC and Fleet Synthetic Training (FST).

In this role, the selected candidate will support Navy LVC training across designated Areas of Responsibility (AORs). Key duties include assisting with the planning, development, and execution of Fleet Training events for Fleet and Strike Group staffs, including reserve personnel. Frequent collaboration with Military, Government, and Contractor leadership is a central part of this position.

What You Will Do

  • Software Lifecycle Management: Installs, configures, and patches new C-FAST/IW tool suite baseline software releases, upgrades, and system updates to keep training environments current and secure.
  • System Administration & Monitoring: Monitors servers and applications using systems management software, troubleshoots system issues, coordinates with external teams, and develops resource allocation policies and standards to ensure stable system performance.
  • Event Planning & Federation Architecture Development: Until O&M turnover is completed, collaborate with C-FAST/IW toolset engineers to accomplish event planning and federation architecture development tasking. Immediately following O&M turnover of C-FAST/IW toolsets, leads C-FAST/IW-specific planning and technical design of federation architectures, ensuring tools are configured to integrate into Navy Training Baseline (NTB) federations.
  • Real-Time System & Federation Management: Directs real-time system and federation management during LVC events, actively conducting in-stride troubleshooting and rapid correction of system problems to maintain continuity of operations.
  • Active LVC Coordination for Training Objectives: Coordinates across the LVC operations team during LVC events to guarantee technical alignment and ensure all systems are configured to create the opportunity for successful training execution.
  • Simulation Artifact Management: Manages local simulation artifacts, including parametric databases and enumeration tables, to ensure alignment with NTB tools and the Joint LVC (JLVC) environment.
  • Technical Enablement & Tool Support: Provides technical assistance and system familiarization to Exercise Control (EXCON) users, facilitating the technical employment of C-FAST/IW simulations and tools without engaging in instructional delivery.
  • Performance Feedback & Engineering Alignment: Analyzes system performance during events and provides technical feedback to software engineers to guide future development and optimization efforts.
  • Continuous Education: Maintains technical awareness of emerging C-FAST/IW capabilities, planned development roadmaps, and their integration within NTB federations to support long-term system capability. Install and configure new baseline software releases, upgrades, and patches.


What You Must Have

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • Candidate must have Linux, and/or Microsoft professional certification.
  • Candidate must have a Security+ certification.
  • Candidate must have U.S. Citizenship.
  • Candidate must currently hold and be able to maintain a US Top Secret clearance.
  • Candidate must have experience with networking concepts, architectures, and protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP.
  • Candidate must have experience with current Intelligence systems and National reporting procedures.
  • Candidate must have experience with modeling and simulation tools.
  • Routine travel to remote site facilities may be involved.
  • Candidate must be okay working non-standard hours approximately 6 times per year for 2-3 weeks at a time to support event execution and testing.


Bonus Points For Having!

  • National and Theater-level intelligence experience.
  • Proficiency with systems such as GALE, GCCS, IBS, DCGS, and Link 16.
  • Experience with operational level Joint Live Virtual Constructive (JLVC) supported FST events.
  • Experience in Navy Fleet Synthetic Training programs, experimentation and war-game operation and management to achieve training objectives.
  • Experience with Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) process, timeline, and products.
  • Understanding of Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) systems and operations.
  • Knowledge of distributed simulation protocols such as High-Level Architecture (HLA) and Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS).
  • Experience with Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF) simulation and other High Level Architecture / Distributed Interactive Simulation (HLA/DIS) modeling tools.


Physical Requirements

Office, industrial, or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving materials may be required.
