Kind of Work Highly responsible technical and supervisory work overseeing, coordinating, and participating in the activities of staff responsible for geographic information systems, enterprise GIS administration, spatial data management, application development, and related information technology functions in support of SWBNO water, sewerage, and drainage infrastructure management. This classification is responsible for supervising GIS personnel, ensuring the quality and integrity of geospatial data and systems, conducting technical research, recommending system enhancements, and supporting the organization's GIS and asset management initiatives. Work includes ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures, maintaining enterprise GIS infrastructure, and performing the more complex technical tasks related to GIS operations and support.
Minimum Qualifications 1. Bachelor's Degree* in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Geography, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university
and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the support, design and/or implementation of Geographic Information database mapping systems (GIS). One (1) year of this experience must have included team leadership, project coordination, or supervisory responsibility.
OR2. Associate's Degree* in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Geography, or a related field from an accredited college or university
and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in the support, design and/or implementation of Geographic Information database mapping systems (GIS). One (1) year of this experience must have included team leadership, project coordination, or supervisory responsibility.
Note: An Esri Technical Certification or Esri Enterprise Administration Associate certification may substitute for one (1) year of the required non-supervisory experience.

Kind of Examination A rating of training and experience, weighted 100%. All related previous experience will be considered for qualification purposes; however, credit on the rating of training and experience will only be given for experience gained within the last ten (10) years.
