Information Systems Security Officer, Level 1

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) on similar programs/contracts.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level 1 or higher certification.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
• Strong understanding of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Responsibilities

• Support information security initiatives and operations.
• Create and enforce security policies and procedures.
• Assess security risks and implement solutions for critical information.
• Manage security settings for software, hardware, and firmware.
• Prepare and review security documentation, including SSPs and risk assessments.
• Monitor security events using Splunk and analyze logs for incident response.
• Provide rotational call-in support to backup the team as needed.
