The Information Security Engineer focuses on a specific category of security (Network, Server, Identity and Access, Endpoint, Application) and serves as the subject matter expert in that category. They are responsible for performing the threat modeling, control analysis, control design and roadmap for that category. They lead security projects, designs solutions, consult with other IT teams to provide secure designs, create best-practices and guidelines, manage themselves and teams to their roadmaps, etc. MUST HAVE: • 5+ years of IT experience implementing enterprise-wide application solutions • Extensive experience with the McAfee security suite (specifically): oPolicy Orchestrator (ePO) oVirus Scan Enterprise (VSE) oHost Intrusion Prevention (HIPS) oData Loss Prevention (DLP) oFull Disk Encryption (EEPC, FDE, MDE, etc.) oVirus Scan for Virtual Environments (MOVE) oRogue Sensor Detection (RSD) • Demonstrated experience with at least one programming/scripting language (Python, Ruby, Perl, Powershell, etc.) • Demonstrated experience with securing all aspects of an enterprise • Demonstrated experience in understanding networking technologies and protocols • Demonstrated systems administration experience with Windows and UNIX-based operating systems • Must have technology passion and staying current with emerging security trends • Excellent verbal & written communication and presentation skills. Must be able to communicate effectively to executive and developer levels. • Thorough understanding of business concepts, SDLC, security issues, software market and networking standards • Experience with new technology evaluations, software package selection and buy vs. build analysis • Strong ability to influence others outside of their direct area of control and seen as a team player • Experience managing multiple projects with diverse requirements and competing priorities • Project management and business analysis skills • Must be willing to occasionally travel globally and alter daily work schedule to meet with global community • Strong English oral/written communication, presentation, and organizational skills
