Full Job Description
C3 AI is seeking an Industry Solution Leader (ISL) for High Tech Manufacturing to lead the design and delivery of enterprise AI solutions for its clients with a specialization in Semiconductor and Fuel Cell Fabrication.

C3 AI is seeking an Industry Solution Director, Supply Chain to lead the design and delivery of enterprise AI solutions for complex global supply chain and manufacturing organizations.

Industry Solution Directors combine deep domain expertise with end-to-end ownership of customer solutions. They are expected to understand a customer's supply chain and operating environment deeply enough to challenge assumptions, identify and quantify the highest-value opportunities, define the right technical solution, and lead cross-functional teams through design, deployment, validation, and scale.

The role combines the responsibilities of a senior supply chain expert and solution leader. Industry Solution Directors work directly with customer supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, finance, technology, and executive teams while leading C3 AI Forward Deployed Engineers, data scientists, product teams, and other technical resources to deliver measurable business outcomes.

The ideal candidate brings significant experience in supply chain planning, manufacturing operations, inventory management, production planning, logistics, procurement, pricing, or operations research and has the technical judgment, customer leadership, and delivery ownership required to lead complex enterprise AI solutions from problem definition through production.

The ISL, High Tech Manufacturing - Semiconductor and Fuel Cell Fabrication should have hands-on experience in semiconductor fab operations or process engineering (or comparable fuel-cell/advanced-manufacturing fabrication), including lithography, deposition, etch, inspection, or adjacent fab steps, with ownership of yield, cycle time, WIP, excursions, tool availability, capacity, or process optimization.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own the overall solution strategy, technical direction, and delivery outcomes for assigned customer engagements, maintaining accountability from initial problem definition through production deployment and scale.
  • Serve as the primary customer-facing solution leader and supply chain domain expert, developing a detailed understanding of customer planning processes, operational workflows, constraints, systems, and business objectives.
  • Identify and quantify high-impact opportunities across demand planning, inventory optimization, supply planning, production planning, scheduling, pricing, procurement, logistics, order fulfillment, service levels, and working capital.
  • Translate complex supply chain and operational challenges into tractable AI, machine learning, optimization, and software problems with clearly defined decision variables, constraints, requirements, success criteria, and expected business value.
  • Lead engagements through use case definition, requirements gathering, solution architecture, application configuration, validation, production deployment, user adoption, and scale-out.
  • Apply deep supply chain expertise to challenge assumptions, evaluate analytical approaches, interpret results, and ensure solutions reflect the operational and economic realities of the customer's business.
  • Lead cross-functional teams of Forward Deployed Engineers, data scientists, product managers, engineers, and industry experts, establishing technical priorities and driving alignment around customer outcomes.
  • Work directly with customer planners, manufacturing teams, commercial and pricing teams, procurement organizations, logistics teams, technology leaders, finance stakeholders, and executives to validate requirements, workflows, recommendations, and business impact.
  • Guide the interpretation and use of supply chain and enterprise data, including demand, orders, pricing, inventory, production, capacity, lead times, bills of material, suppliers, purchasing, shipments, logistics, service levels, and financial information.
  • Maintain accountability for solution quality, business value, technical risks, delivery progress, customer adoption, and executive communication throughout the engagement.
  • Partner with C3 AI product management and engineering teams to identify reusable capabilities, inform product development, and scale successful solutions across plants, products, networks, geographies, and business units.
  • Support sales teams during opportunity assessment and capture by helping define customer problems, solution approaches, business value, technical requirements, deployment strategy, and demonstrations.
  • Support development of statements of work and deployment plans, ensuring scope, deliverables, assumptions, data requirements, risks, timelines, and resource requirements are clearly defined.
  • Develop repeatable supply chain methodologies, solution patterns, and best practices and represent C3 AI in relevant customer and industry forums.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, operations, planning, logistics, procurement, pricing, operations research, or technically focused consulting.
  • Deep experience in one or more areas including demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, production planning, manufacturing scheduling, pricing, procurement, logistics, distribution, or supply chain network optimization.
  • Experience working in complex manufacturing or supply chain environments such as high-tech and semiconductor, industrial manufacturing, automotive, consumer products, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, metals, agriculture, or other global enterprises.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain planning concepts including service levels, safety stock, lead times, capacity constraints, bills of material, production constraints, inventory policies, pricing decisions, sourcing decisions, and network flows.
  • Demonstrated experience solving complex supply chain problems and improving service levels, forecast performance, inventory, working capital, production efficiency, fulfillment, pricing outcomes, or operating costs.
  • Experience working with enterprise supply chain data from ERP, MRP, planning, warehouse management, transportation management, procurement, manufacturing, commercial, and related enterprise systems.
  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, o9, or similar supply chain and planning systems.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills, including the ability to reason about tradeoffs, constraints, uncertainty, and optimization objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, customer-facing technical engagements and working directly with operational, technical, commercial, and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to structure ambiguous business problems, define the decisions that need to be improved, and translate those requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively with software engineers, data scientists, product managers, and customer technical teams and translate between domain, business, and technical requirements.
  • Excellent presentation, written communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel to customer locations as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience delivering AI, machine learning, operations research, mathematical optimization, advanced analytics, or supply chain digital transformation solutions.
  • Hands-on technical experience with SQL, Python, analytics, optimization tools, application configuration, scripting, or similar technologies, with the ability to directly inspect data, prototype analyses, and work closely with engineering and data science teams.
  • Experience deploying demand forecasting, inventory optimization, pricing optimization, production optimization, scheduling, network optimization, or decision-support solutions.
  • Experience working across both enterprise supply chain functions and manufacturing operations.
  • Experience taking technical solutions from initial proof of value through production deployment and scale.
  • Experience scaling solutions across multiple plants, product families, regions, networks, or business units.
  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline.
