About the Role

As the Senior Industry Manager, Mid Market CPG, you will lead a team of Sales Development Representatives, Account Executives, and Post Sales Managers to build partnerships that create tangible value for both advertisers and DoorDash. In this role, you will manage the entire ads strategy across the Mid-Market and Emerging segments of the CPG business (includes subcategories of alcohol, personal care, household, beverages, sweets, snacks, pantry, fresh, frozen, pets), and drive adoption of our growing ads and promotions offering. You will work cross-functionally with strategy, operations, marketing, analytics, and product, to innovate on our future approach and solutions. You will report into the Head of CPG Advertising Sales, in our Sales & Business Development organization.

  • Successfully lead and develop a team of Mid Market Account Executives, Post Sales Managers and Strategic Development Managers to consistently exceed business growth and product/feature adoption goals, grow advertiser value, and drive sustainable revenue for DoorDash
  • Establish trusted senior level customer relationships and deliver thought leadership both internally and externally in the CPG industry
  • Represent advertiser needs to influence our Ads & Promos product roadmap and go to market strategy
  • Develop sales materials and sales processes to enable future scale of the team and business
  • Develop annual and quarterly sales plans and analyses to achieve ambitious goals and and help customers meet their business and marketing objectives

  • You have a minimum of 5+ years managing a sales team effectively and leading team performance management to meet and exceed goals. Overall Industry Experience 10+ years
  • You are a consultative seller with significant experience in digital media or adjacent performance oriented industries
  • You have built scaled mid market and/or emerging businesses in the past
  • You're an expert in using data and insights to inform recommendations, rooted in advertiser objectives and business priorities
  • You have a firm understanding of digital technologies within the marketing/media mix, and are savvy with digital advertising measurements from attribution to funnel metrics
  • You have strong written/verbal communication and presentations skills, and experience operating across several levels of an organization
  • You hire and recruit top and diverse talent to drive outsized impact on the business and contribute to DoorDash's culture
  • You have experience working directly with CPG advertisers or similar

Compensation

Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants and sales commission. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

  • For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
  • For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).


The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.

$136,020-$200,040 USD

The total on-target earnings (base + commissions) for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.

$226,700-$333,400 USD
