Position Description
• Oversee and make decisions related to the performance of work related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and trade employee staffing levels.
• Understands plans, submittals and shop drawings
• Understands RFI's and how to incorporate into plans
• Provides expertise in material management, including inventory monitoring, ordering/re-ordering and placement
• Oversee work among assigned trades to promote a coordinated project operation.
• Resolving local area problems regarding procedures, precedence, design clarifications, adequate labor and equipment schedule and all other appropriate matters.
• Manage the overall site safety program as required and ensuring subcontractor compliance with JE Construction Services standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations, including project owner's safety protocols.
• Create schedules and determine sequencing of work. Develop and implement recovery strategies to maintain project schedule.
• Communicate with Project Manager in connection with field issues. Investigate and resolve such issues.
• Manage the work to ensure that it is installed in compliance with and conforms to the approved contract documents.
• Monitors crew progress toward set expectations
• Monitors on-site equipment inventory on a monthly, or as needed, basis vs project records
• Proactively ensures security of all JE Construction Services tools and equipment
• Daily safety planning, documentation and implementation of safe work practices
• Attends and contributes daily at Safety Meetings
• Assists with managing quality control of not only JE Construction Services self-perform work but also subcontractor work
• Efficiently communicates job expectations to laborer crews
• Jobsite safety leader-Is critical to the front-line implementation of safety - assists in breaking down barriers (including language) to the passing of our safety culture to crews
• Input employees time into construction management software
• Documents job progress and issues daily, through construction management software
• Ensures equipment is taken care of
• Assist in recruiting manpower for projects

Position Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:
• 5+ years' Industrial construction management experience
• Knowledge in heavy industrial construction industry
• Ability to read plan drawings and sketches
• Proficient knowledge in Construction Industry Standards
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, & Outlook
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must be able to be work non-routine hours, when necessary
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
• Successful completion of MVR, DISA background, and DISA drug screen
• Possess a current TWIC
• Able to pass basic safety, and site-specific courses

Education and Experience:
• Industrial Construction & Maintenance Supervision: 5 year (Preferred)

Physical Requirements:
• Able to work long periods including evenings and weekends when necessary.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time., carry at least 30 pounds
• Be able to work in extreme weather conditions, hot and cold weather.
