Job Summary

As an Industrial Superintendent, your role starts before boots are in the ground with building a solid site-specific safety plan and work plan. Once on-site, you'll take charge of daily field operations, driving projects to finish safely, on time, and within budget. You'll lead crews, coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, and keep the jobsite running smoothly with a sharp focus on quality and safety.

Your experience in leading multiple trades with an emphasis on safety and quality will directly impact our industrial projects. While your leadership and problem-solving skills will keep teams motivated and schedules on track. This is a dynamic role where your impact is visible every day, turning plans into successful, well-built results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Management: Direct subcontractors and on-site activities to ensure work meets schedules, specs, and safety protocols.
  • Team Leadership: Partner with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and crews to keep workflow and communication seamless.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Build strong relationships with owners and stakeholders providing clear, consistent updates on progress and timelines.
  • Quality & Safety: Uphold the highest standards of workmanship, enforce safety procedures, and lead regular inspections and meetings.
  • Scheduling & Budget: Develop and adjust project schedules, monitor costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Keep accurate daily records, progress reports, inspections, and related documentation.
  • Problem Solving: Anticipate challenges and resolve issues quickly to keep projects moving forward.


Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 10+ years of experience working as a Superintendent in the industrial construction industry.
  • 4-year degree in Construction Management preferred.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Proven leadership in supervising teams, projects, and subcontractors.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, safety standards (OSHA/Hutton), inspections, and scheduling.
  • Skilled in reading construction and engineering diagrams (PFDs, P&IDs, Electrical One Line).
  • Proficient with project management and estimating software (for example: MS Office, Project/Asta, Bluebeam, Navisworks).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; valid driver's license and U.S. work authorization required.
  • Understands and upholds quality expectations on industrial projects (piping, concrete, etc.)

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Structural concrete experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in managing self-perform crews.
  • OSHA-30 Certification.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.

Work Environment:
  • Ability to work out of town multiple days per week for multiple months as needed.
  • Work in severe elements including extreme heat or cold.
  • Walk on uneven surfaces frequently.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to do the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:
    • Lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
    • Walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb and squat in cramped or awkward positions when necessary.
