Industrial Reclaim Water Plant (IRWP) Design Engineer

TSMC Arizona is looking for an IRWP Design Engineer to join our F21 project located in Phoenix, Arizona . As a IRWP Design Engineer, you will demonstrate a strong sense of reliability and enthusiasm and will possess an attitude that embodies our core values - Integrity, Commitment, Innovation and Customer Trust. The IRWP Design Engineer is responsible for participating in the design and contracting of the new IRWP. Our systems are designed to run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year without interruption, creating a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment.

Design engineers work closely with manufacturing, facility teams, suppliers and vendors daily to understand systems reliability and quality concerns and work to resolve issues.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

Responsibilities:
  • Planning, system design, and outsourcing for the construction of new IRWP overseas.
  • Cross-organizational communication, coordination, and problem-solving.
  • Assessment and implementation of innovative technologies to address new process challenges and promote environmental friendliness.
  • Design tailored to international and local regulations and requirements.


Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Education:
    • Bachelors Degree in Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Technical Skills:
    • Possess project management and communication coordination skills
    • Biological, chemical, and physical knowledge of water treatment technology, including clean water and wastewater. Knowledge of P&ID, piping, and basic water engineering.
  • Interpersonal Skills:
    • Highly enthusiastic and interested in design work.
    • Possess independent thinking and operational abilities.
    • Ability to create, check and modify design documentation and clearly present with manufacturing/facility teams
  • Physical Requirements:
    • May spend extended hours working inside and outside in all weather conditions, and in awkward body positions which can cause physical discomfort and strain.
    • Required to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and to adjust heavy objects.
    • The position will come in contact with sharp, hot, and cold equipment, and parts.
    • Must be medically qualified to wear a personal respirator.
    • Sensory demands include exposure to the smells associated with industrial chemical operations, exposure to the sounds associated with powered tools and industrial equipment.
    • Must have the ability to safely climb ladders, and work at elevation from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, roofs, or platforms, and the ability to work in confined spaces.


Training
  • Candidates may need to go to Taiwan for training or meeting depending on business needs.


Shift expectations
  • Candidates are expected to work on standard work hours, Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm.
