Industrial Environmental Estimator

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for water and wastewater treatment facilities, industrial construction projects, environmental remediation, dredging, and other heavy civil and industrial infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review quantity takeoffs, pricing, production rates, and estimate assumptions for accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, environmental studies, process and mechanical drawings, schedules, and contract requirements.
• Develop project phasing, construction sequencing, means and methods, and bid strategies.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing, identify scope gaps, and assess project risks.
• Conduct site visits and evaluate site access, staging requirements, utility conflicts, environmental constraints, permitting requirements, and other project-specific challenges.
• Support Design-Build and Joint Venture pursuits when required.
• Mentor junior estimators and assist in estimate reviews and team development.
• Participate in project handoff meetings and post-bid reviews to support successful project execution.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field; equivalent construction experience may be substituted.
• Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in heavy civil, industrial, or environmental construction.
• Experience estimating water treatment plants, wastewater treatment facilities, industrial construction projects, environmental remediation, dredging, contaminated soil management, or related infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, unit pricing, means and methods, and construction sequencing.
• Proficiency with B2W Estimate (or equivalent), Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple pursuits and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Experience
• Water and wastewater treatment process facilities, including mechanical piping, process equipment, concrete structures, and electrical/instrumentation systems.
• Environmental remediation projects involving contaminated soil excavation, site restoration, groundwater treatment, sediment remediation, and hazardous material management.
• Dredging projects, sediment management, shoreline restoration, and marine environmental construction.
• Industrial facilities including manufacturing plants, power generation facilities, processing plants, and bulk material handling systems.
• Design-Build or Joint Venture pursuits.
• Leadership, mentoring, or oversight of estimating personnel.

Compensation:Competitive wage commensurate with experience. Excellent benefit package including company paid health, dental and vision insurance with a company-funded retirement plan.

Salary Range $120,000 - $135,000

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
