Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Construction Project Manager to lead heavy industrial construction projects within the power generation and energy sectors. This role is responsible for project planning, execution, cost control, scheduling, contract administration, and client relationship management, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. By partnering with field operations, clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders, you will play a critical role in driving project success and operational excellence.

DAY IN THE LIFE

As an Industrial Construction Project Manager, your day centers on overseeing multiple phases of power generation and heavy industrial construction projects while balancing safety, schedule, budget, and client expectations. You collaborate closely with superintendents, project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and customers to coordinate resources, resolve issues, and maintain progress toward key milestones. Daily responsibilities include reviewing project schedules, monitoring labor productivity and equipment utilization, analyzing costs and forecasts, managing contracts and change orders, and ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. You serve as the primary point of contact for project communications, providing leadership in problem solving, risk mitigation, and decision making. Your ability to align project controls, construction execution, and stakeholder expectations directly contributes to successful project delivery, customer satisfaction, and company profitability.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum five (5) years of project management experience in heavy industrial construction environments.
  • Experience supporting industrial, power generation, energy, or related construction projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, and relevant experience.
  • Experience managing project controls, budgeting, cost management, forecasting, scheduling, and financial reporting.
  • Experience supporting estimating and preconstruction activities.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and multiple concurrent project activities.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Strong knowledge of construction project management methodologies, contract administration, change management, risk mitigation, and project controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software platforms.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
