This is an incredible opportunity for a progressive, cloud and automation-first technologist to join Apex’s Identity Services team. As a IAM System Engineer II youll be charged with improving and maintaining Apexs suite of Identity Services systems. Youll play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing services and infrastructure that support our internal identity management, access controls, systems, and processes.

Duties/Responsibilities
- IAM Toolchain Management: Provide Technical Expertise and oversight of Apexs Identity and Access Management (IAM) toolchain. Improve administration, strive for optimization, and support of the entire lifecycle (JML practices) of employee access, account provisioning, entitlements, deprovisioning, and more.
- Build & Maintain Integrations: Design, develop, and maintain scripts and interfaces to streamline IAM processes, including integration and management across tools such as: Active Directory, Okta, Workday, and others.
- Automation & Streamlining: Continually improve efficiency, reliability, and user experience by automating and integrating identity-related processes. Break down friction and create a seamless ecosystem, enabling staff productivity and operational excellence.
- Collaborate & Support: Work directly with teams across the organization to support, maintain, design, and build IAM solutions that align with the strategy and growth of the firm.
- Innovate & Evolve: Stay ahead of new and emerging technologies1such as generative AI1and proactively identify opportunities to improve Apexs IAM systems. Recommend new solutions and drive initiatives to evolve our technology landscape.
Education And/or Required Experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent work experience) required
- 4+ years of proven experience with a similar role, with a focus on Identity and Access Management solutions, SSO implementation and management.
- Experience administering and integrating with enterprise tools such as Okta, Active Directory, Google Workspace, M365.
- Experience Windows and Linux administration in enterprise environments.
Preferred Skills/Abilities
- Deep knowledge of Identity & Access Management technologies, including SSO, MFA, and privileged access management.
- Expertise with security/authorization models and protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC).
- Strong skills in Python and PowerShell for scripting and automation.
- Superior troubleshooting and critical thinking skills, with an ability to localize failures in distributed systems.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT and their practical application in productivity.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to write clear documentation, procedures, and runbooks.
- Comfortable discussing technical concepts with engineers and vendors.
- Experience implementing, managing, and administering Softerra Adaxes
