Position SummaryThe HVAC & Utilities Engineer/Supervisor is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial HVAC systems within a manufacturing facility. This role focuses on factory air conditioning, air handling units, dehumidification systems, and chilled water systems. The position is hands-on and equipment-focused, with future responsibility to lead a team of engineers and technicians.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial HVAC systems, including:
- Factory air conditioning systems
- Air Handling Units (AHU)
- Desiccant Dehumidification Units (DHU)
- Chilled water systems and chillers
- Perform daily inspections and establish preventive maintenance plans for HVAC equipment.
- Diagnose and repair common HVAC equipment failures and abnormal operating conditions.
- Maintain mechanical systems related to HVAC, including piping and ductwork.
- Support HVAC equipment commissioning, start-up, and system optimization.
- Ensure stable and reliable HVAC operation to support manufacturing processes.
- Develop and improve HVAC maintenance standards, SOPs, and equipment documentation.
- Coordinate HVAC activities with facilities, production, and EHS teams.
- Support future team leadership of HVAC engineers and technicians.
- Participate in shift coverage or night shift operations as required.
Required Qualifications- Hands-on experience with industrial HVAC equipment, including air conditioning or dehumidification systems.
- Solid understanding of HVAC system operation principles and equipment structures.
- Experience performing routine maintenance and preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair common HVAC equipment failures.
- Experience in factory or industrial equipment operation and maintenance.
- Ability to read and understand HVAC and mechanical drawings.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with desiccant dehumidification units (DHU) and chilled water systems.
- Experience in manufacturing, battery, semiconductor, electronics, or pharmaceutical facilities.
- Mechanical background with experience in piping and ductwork maintenance.
- Prior experience supervising or mentoring engineers or technicians.
- Willingness to work night shifts or rotating shifts.
- HVAC-related certifications or licenses are a plus.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000 -$120,000, plus eligibility for bonus and benefits.
