Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience
• 7+ years of experience with industrial HVAC and utility systems (steam, chilled water, hot water, compressed air, CO2, refrigeration)
• Experience in engineered package development, including scope of work and P&IDs
• Familiarity with process and utility system piping and ductwork design
• Knowledge in determining code compliance for new and existing systems

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with other project disciplines as required
• Develop equipment specifications
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and suppliers to create cost estimates and support proposals
• Create mass energy balances
• Produce process and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs)
• Formulate equipment lists, line lists, and POC lists
• Draft installation scope documents
• Assist in on-site construction and installation efforts
• Support checkout and start-up activities
• Mentor and coach team members as necessary
• Conduct on-site surveys to assess existing conditions
• Travel approximately 25% annually when needed
