What We're Looking For

We're looking for a hands-on, accountable leader who understands HVAC service, supports their team, takes ownership of customer relationships, and is committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

The HVAC Service Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of Legacy Mechanical's HVAC Service operations. This position leads and supports service technicians, coordinates scheduling and dispatch, ensures quality and timely completion of service work, and maintains strong customer relationships.

The Service Manager serves as a key connection between the field, customers, dispatch, Sales, and Service Operations leadership. This role is responsible for creating a high-performing service team while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, professionally, and in alignment with Legacy Mechanical's Service First philosophy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the daily activities of the Service Department and HVAC technicians.
  • Coordinate with Dispatch to manage scheduling, priorities, emergency calls, and technician workload.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor our Field Operations Manager hold technicians accountable for productivity, quality, safety, and customer service.
  • Work with the Field Operations Manager to provide technical and operational support to technicians in the field as needed.
  • Monitor service calls, open work orders, callbacks, and preventative maintenance completion.
  • Build strong customer relationships and resolve service concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Identify repair, replacement, and preventative maintenance opportunities and communicate them to Sales.
  • Review work orders for accuracy, proper documentation, labor, and materials.
  • Monitor technician productivity, utilization, overtime, and service efficiency.
  • Promote and enforce Legacy Mechanical's Safety First
  • Work closely with Service Operations, Sales, Accounting, Safety, and other departments to ensure effective communication and service delivery.


Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of commercial HVAC service experience.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop technicians.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with service management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • EPA Universal Certification and/or Journeyman-level experience preferred.
