The Residential Service HVAC Manager oversees the daily operations of a residential HVAC service division. This role is responsible for managing technicians, ensuring high-quality service delivery, maintaining safety and compliance standards, and driving profitability through efficient scheduling, customer satisfaction, and team development. Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of residential HVAC service technicians and apprentices
- Plan, schedule, and dispatch service calls to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Ensure all work complies with state and local codes along with all company safety regulations
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, coaching, and training for team members
- Oversee troubleshooting, diagnostics, and resolution of complex HVAC issues
- Manage inventory, tools, and materials to ensure technicians are properly equipped
- Monitor job costs, labor hours, and departmental profitability
- Develop and implement strategies to improve service quality, productivity, and revenue
- Handle escalated customer concerns and ensure positive resolution
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify opportunities for service upgrades and maintenance agreements
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, inspections, and compliance documentation
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in residential HVAC service, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, troubleshooting, and mechanical code requirements
- Proven leadership and team management skills

Compensation:
- Competitive Pay: $75,000 - $90,000, based on experience
