HVAC Operations Manager

Are you an experienced HVAC leader who knows how to build strong teams, improve operations, and deliver exceptional service? Riddleberger Brothers, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Operations Manager to lead our commercial HVAC service and/or installation operations.

In this key leadership role, you will oversee daily operations, support supervisors and technicians, manage resources and financial performance, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. What You'll Do
  • Lead daily HVAC service and/or installation operations, ensuring safety, productivity, quality, and customer-service expectations are met.
  • Build, coach, and develop high-performing supervisors and technicians through clear expectations, accountability, and ongoing support.
  • Promote and enforce RBI safety policies, OSHA requirements, toolbox talks, and near-miss reporting.
  • Coordinate with service managers, dispatch, sales, and support teams to align staffing, schedules, equipment, and other resources.
  • Manage labor efficiency, manpower planning, scheduling, and overtime.
  • Oversee maintenance agreements, time-and-material work, and projects to ensure services align with contracts, regulatory requirements, and RBI procedures.
  • Maintain operational consistency and quality through documented processes, employee training, routine audits, and day-to-day oversight.
  • Monitor job estimates, costing, documentation, billing preparation, progress billing, cash flow, collections support, and performance reporting.
  • Respond to customer concerns with professionalism, honesty, and a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, quality, and profitability.
  • Support employee training, apprenticeship programs, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Visit job sites to review progress, work quality, safety, and project scope.
  • Assist with special projects and other operational needs as assigned.


What We're Looking For
  • At least seven years of HVAC experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, service operations, and industry best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage resources, and improve operational and financial performance.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with service-management software and Microsoft Office.
  • EPA certification and/or an HVAC trade license is preferred.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
  • A positive, professional, and team-oriented leadership style.
  • Availability to provide occasional after-hours support and respond to operational needs.
  • Ability to travel to job sites as necessary.
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record check.


Physical Requirements
  • Ability to visit active job and project sites to review work progress and scope.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders when needed to access areas of a job site.
  • Ability to perform the routine lifting, bending, and movement typically required in an office and job-site environment.
