Job DescriptionThe Michigan Civil Service Commission is looking for a motivated individual who is organized, has exemplary analytical and problem-solving skills, and is interested in working in a fast-paced Human Resources environment. This position will serve as a Human Resources Manager performing the full range of labor relations activities serving all correctional facilities in Jackson for the Michigan Department of Corrections.
Ideal candidates will have:
- A strong understanding of the human resource and labor relations field.
- Ability to investigate, analyze, interpret, and apply policies, rules, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This position will be in office during the training period. Once training is complete, the option of a hybrid work schedule is available for up to 50% of the work schedule per pay period.Required Education and Experience This position generally requires possession of a bachelor's degree in any major and four years of professional experience equivalent to a Human Resources Analyst.
