The City of Norwood Young America is seeking a full-time Human Resources Generalist reporting directly to the City Administrator. This position oversees human resources administration, payroll, employee benefits, recruitment, personnel policies, employment law compliance, employee and labor relations, performance management, training coordination, supervision of seasonal Pool Managers, and special projects.
The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, sound judgment, initiative, organizational skills, and strict confidentiality.
**QUALIFICATIONS:** Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field and four years of professional HR experience required. **Municipal or other government HR experience strongly preferred.** Experience in payroll, benefits, recruitment, personnel administration, and employment law compliance required. Knowledge of Minnesota employment laws, HR/payroll systems, and Microsoft Office is essential. Public-sector personnel practices, collective bargaining, and PERA reporting experience are highly desirable. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are considered.
