Full Job Description
A Snapshot of your Day

This Human Resources Business Partner position will partner directly with management teams for an assigned area of responsible at Siemens Energy, supporting a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position will deliver consultative HR services aligned to the business strategy for a population of approximately 700 employees, including hourly and salaried populations. This position will have the ability to understand the business, the strategy and the mission to deliver integrated Human Resources management services and programs across the business.

The position will provide a full range of Human Resources support and expertise. As a trusted partner to and a member of the local leadership team, you will bring an independent viewpoint and HR expertise to business issues.
• Proactively drive HR strategy within organization as aligned with business goals.
• Provide coaching to managers and employees to accelerate leadership development at all levels in the organization.
• Promote and champion diversity efforts in hiring, promotion, job rotations, etc.
• Consult with partnered organization on strategies and communications designed to create an environment that drives individual and team success and retention.
• Partner with the leadership team on talent development and performance management to maximize employee contributions and address performance gaps.
• Identify needs for change management and champion related activities
• Provide counsel to managers and employees consistent with Siemens Energy policies.
• Partner with HR Performance Optimization team and Shared Service providers on escalated questions regarding payroll, leave of absences, investigations, policies, etc.
• Support labor relations activities as applicable, including partnering with site leadership on union interactions, interpreting contract language, and helping resolve workplace concerns in alignment with policy and applicable agreements.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in a relevant field such as Human Resources or Organizational Development or equivalent experience . Master's degree in Industrial / Organizational Behavior Studies or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of successful experience in a human resources business partner capacity with successful demonstration of the key responsibilities as presented above.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a complex, matrixed organization by effectively prioritizing, analyzing, and problem-solving to achieve positive outcomes; communicating proficiently in both written and oral formats; developing and leveraging relationships with remote employees; building strong, trusting relationships to influence results; being flexible, self-directed, and motivated while interacting with all levels of staff; supporting and consulting managers and employees on policies and procedures; objectively coaching through routine and complex employee relations matters; showcasing leadership skills, professionalism, and a positive team attitude; and adapting to and guiding others through changing environments.
  • Experience supporting hourly/frontline populations in a manufacturing, plant, or shop-floor environment; union/labor relations exposure (e.g., contract administration, grievance support, and partnership with union representatives) preferred.
