SummaryThe Assistant Manager - Vehicle Processing Operations is responsible for the overall success of an assigned customer operation within a high-volume vehicle processing environment. This position leads daily processing activities, ensures production targets are achieved, manages aging inventory, and reduces vehicle dwell through proactive coordination across processing, accessory installation, body shop, mechanical, quality, and support functions.
The Assistant Manager serves as a primary operational contact for the customer, ensuring strong communication, customer satisfaction, and alignment with changing priorities and requirements. Although assigned to a specific customer operation, this position may rotate among customers or operational areas based on business needs.
Responsibilities -Lead the daily execution and overall performance of the assigned vehicle processing operation.
-Develop and execute daily production plans based on customer requirements, available inventory, vehicle aging, staffing, capacity, parts availability, and operational priorities.
-Ensure daily processing targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and in accordance with customer and company quality standards.
-Manage processing activities involving heavy port-installed options and other complex accessory installations.
-Monitor production throughout the shift and adjust labor, workload, and priorities to maintain schedule attainment.
-Maintain visibility of all work-in-process inventory, including each vehicle's status, aging, required work, constraints, and next action.
-Identify and prioritize aging units and implement recovery plans to reduce processing dwell.
-Coordinate the movement of vehicles through processing, accessory installation, inspection, mechanical repair, body shop repair, quality control, and final release.
-Follow up on vehicles in the body shop and mechanical repair process to ensure timely estimates, approvals, parts availability, repairs, inspections, and release.
-Identify and remove operational bottlenecks involving labor, parts, tools, equipment, systems, approvals, or vehicle flow.
-Lead supervisors, team leaders, and team members while establishing clear expectations for safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and customer service.
-Monitor daily productivity, completion volume, aging, dwell, quality, labor utilization, and schedule attainment.
-Communicate directly with customer representatives regarding production performance, aging inventory, constraints, quality concerns, and recovery actions.
-Build and maintain a strong customer relationship through timely communication, responsiveness, transparency, and follow-through.
-Ensure customer requests and changing priorities are understood, communicated, and incorporated into the operational plan.
-Provide regular performance updates to site leadership and customer representatives.

Compensation$87,000 - $100,000 yearly salary range. (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
Skills- Strong knowledge of high-volume vehicle processing, production planning, workflow management, and work-in-process control.
- Ability to lead daily operations and consistently achieve safety, quality, production, dwell, and customer-service objectives.
- Ability to analyze vehicle aging and develop effective recovery plans for units exceeding established dwell targets.
- Strong understanding of complex accessory installation, including heavy port-installed options and related parts, labor, and quality requirements.
- Ability to coordinate effectively across processing, body shop, mechanical, parts, warranty, quality, yard, and transportation functions.
- Strong leadership skills, including employee direction, coaching, performance management, accountability, and team development.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, transportation management systems, vehicle-processing or workflow systems, Microsoft Excel, and the full Microsoft Office suite.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including reporting, data analysis, pivot tables, and performance tracking.
Education & Experience- High School Diploma/G.E.D. Required
- Must hold a valid State Issued Driver's License Required
- 3-5 year of Manufacturing, light industrial, warehousing
Physical Requirements- Constant use of hands for repetitive grasping, manipulation, holding scanner, typing on computer
- Will be operating heavy machinery such as manual pallet jack
- Will be operating desk machines such as computer, copier, scanner, printer
- Lift and carry up to 25 lbs. occasionally
- Stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach over shoulder, pull, push 5+ hours per day
- Drive, climb, kneel, squat 1-3 hours per day
- Crouch 3-5 hours per day
