Job Description

The UAB Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Neurobiology invites applications for a full-time faculty position for a licensed, or Alabama license eligible, Clinical Psychologist in the Division of Adult Psychiatry. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate will bring experience as a health psychologist or neuropsychologist in outpatient and inpatient assessment, including medical surgical evaluations, ADHD assessments, and psychodiagnostics assessments. This role also includes providing intervention services, supporting patients in navigating medical, cognitive, and psychological challenges. Responsibilities include establishing a service-based portfolio in medical and psychiatric patient populations, providing clinical services, supervising residents and graduate students, and teaching. The clinician-educator is expected to mentor graduate students and interns in the psychology training programs, psychology post-doctoral fellows, and to participate in medical student and resident teaching.
