HRIS Payroll Architect - Des Moines, IA
Fulltime - Direct Hire


Hands-on HRIS architecture role owning payroll and absence management in a complex enterprise environment. Focus on system configuration, integrations, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and support end-to-end payroll integrations (data flows, calculations, compliance controls)
  • Configure and maintain absence management with seamless integration across time, leave, and benefits systems
  • Lead system configuration, testing, and validation for complex payroll and absence scenarios
  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced HRIS and third-party integration issues
  • Drive system optimization, including workflow redesign, automation, and performance improvements
  • Own root cause analysis and ensure system stability across integrated platforms
Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in HRIS, payroll systems, or enterprise applications
  • Strong hands-on technical configuration and system integration expertise
  • Experience with payroll and absence management systems in integrated environments
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex system and integration issues
  • Experience with Workday Payroll, Workday Absence, and Workday integrations strongly preferred
