Job Description:

Job Summary:
Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS Manager) is responsible for the day-to-day management and operational oversight of Salisbury University's Human Resources Information Systems function, with primary responsibility for supporting Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) and related HR systems and integrations. The HRIS Manager provides direct supervision and operational leadership to HRIS staff responsible for processing, reviewing, correcting, approving, troubleshooting, and monitoring Human Resources transactions.

The position establishes daily priorities, monitors workloads and outstanding transactions, maintains appropriate quality controls, and ensures HRIS activities are completed accurately, consistently, and within established timeframes. The position serves as a key functional resource for Workday HCM and works collaboratively with Human Resources leadership, University departments, Information Technology, Payroll, Academic Affairs, business managers, HCM Action Initiators, MD Connect support, and other internal and external partners.

The HRIS Manager is responsible for strengthening HRIS operational procedures, data integrity, compliance, documentation, training, cross-training, reporting, system testing, and continuous process improvement. The position provides an essential level of operational management between the HRIS Director and staff performing daily transactional and system-support activities.

Authority and Accountability:

Reports to Human Resources - HRIS Director (Terri Stuck)

Direct Reports: 2-3 Human Resource Associate 1 or II

Required/Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Management, or a related field.
  • Professional experience supporting Human Resources Information Systems, enterprise Human Resources applications, Human Resources operations, or related business processes, including experience coordinating complex HR transactions, systems, projects, or operational activities.
  • Supervisory, team-lead, project-lead, or comparable experience demonstrating the ability to coordinate staff, establish priorities, manage workloads, and ensure accountability for operational responsibilities.
