This New York–based role serves as a strategic HR partner to Blackstone’s Credit & Insurance business. The individual will work closely with senior leaders to align talent strategy with business priorities, helping build and scale a high‑performing organization. The role blends strategic advisory with hands‑on execution across organizational design, talent acquisition, talent management, rewards, and employee experience. The successful candidate will operate as a trusted advisor to leadership while helping strengthen the firm’s culture of performance, accountability, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with business leadership to align talent strategy with business objectives, including organizational design, workforce planning, and team effectiveness
Lead disciplined talent and performance management processes, including talent reviews, year‑end performance cycles, leadership development, and succession planning, while embedding inclusion across talent practices
Coach and advise senior leaders to strengthen management capabilities in areas such as performance management, feedback, and team optimization
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to attract and hire exceptional talent through thoughtful role design and rigorous, well‑structured hiring processes
Support the delivery of high‑quality onboarding experience that enables new hires to integrate quickly and succeed across teams
Partner with Compensation to execute annual compensation reviews and ongoing market‑informed analyses aligned with performance and retention goals
Leverage data and analytics to identify talent trends, inform leadership decisions, and measure the impact of people initiatives
Work closely with the Employee Relations team to address and resolve employee matters thoughtfully and effectively within the business
Qualifications
We are seeking an experienced HR professional who is commercially minded, analytical, and execution‑oriented, with broad generalist experience and a strong consultative approach. The ideal candidate is a confident change agent and highly effective communicator who can influence across all levels of the organization and operate effectively in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment.
Experience required
10+ years of HR experience, ideally within financial services, professional services, or technology organizations with global workforces and high‑touch HR partnership models
Experience driving strategic talent management initiatives and organizational effectiveness or development efforts
Demonstrated experience to develop and apply HR metrics and analytics to inform talent decisions
Experience supporting compensation planning and business‑aligned compensation review processes
Bachelor’s degree required
Skills
Strong business and financial acumen, sound judgment, and high professional integrity
Experience to translate business priorities into clear, forward‑looking HR strategies and practical actions
Clear, concise, and persuasive communication skills
Strong work ethic, resilience, and experience to operate effectively in a demanding environment

Experience to analyze talent data and translate insights into meaningful action

Expected annual base salary range:
$190,000 - $275,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the roleconsist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
