Compliance Lead - Eat'n Park Hospitality Group

The Compliance Lead serves as a trusted advisor and compliance resource to partners across the organization regarding human resources related matters. This role partners with Legal, Human Resources, Operations, Safety & Risk, and other stakeholders to proactively identify compliance risks, implement practical solutions, and create resources that support consistent and compliant business practices. The Compliance Lead is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining programs, policies, and processes that ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulatory requirements. This role also leads enterprise compliance initiatives, policy management, government reporting activities, audits, and training programs that promote a culture of accountability and operational excellence.

Key Job Responsibilities

Legal Compliance
  • Partners with Labor & Employment Counsel to monitor, review, and assess new and amended federal, state, and local employment laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluates legal developments and recommends practical business solutions to support compliance while meeting operational needs.
  • Leads enterprise implementation of compliance-related changes, including communications, training materials, job aids, and management resources.
  • Serves as a compliance resource to leaders and Human Resources stakeholders by providing guidance regarding employment laws, policies, and best practices.
  • Leads complex investigations by conducting research, gathering documentation, analyzing findings, and recommending outcomes.


Policy Management
  • Develops, drafts, and maintains company policies and related compliance resources, partnering closely with Legal, Human Resources, Safety & Risk, and other stakeholders to ensure policies are practical, effective, and aligned with business needs.
  • Oversees the development, maintenance, and annual review of employee handbooks and state-specific policies, ensuring all policies remain consistent and aligned with legal requirements and company practices.
  • Develops enterprise-wide compliance communications to support awareness and adoption of policy and process changes.
  • Partners with Legal, Human Resources, and Learning to create effective and efficient manager-facing guidance, toolkits, FAQs, trainings and reference materials related to employment compliance and workplace practices.


Regulatory Compliance
  • Oversees compliance-related recordkeeping obligations and workplace posting requirements
  • Partners with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate completion of reports, including EEO-1 and other federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
  • Collaborates with Legal on responses to regulatory inquiries, audits, and compliance-related requests from government agencies.


Audits and Risk Management
  • Leads internal compliance audits and assessments to evaluate adherence to employment laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements, analyzing the findings to identify areas of risk and partner with stakeholders to implement corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Monitors compliance trends and develops recommendations to strengthen organizational compliance capabilities.
  • Supports enterprise risk mitigation efforts through proactive identification and resolution of compliance concerns.


Strategic Leadership
  • Conducts compliance trend analyses and identifies opportunities to strengthen organizational compliance practices.
  • Exercises independent judgment to develop recommendations and implementation strategies to improve and refine practices that elevate compliance capabilities across the organization.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders across the enterprise to design and implement solutions that reduce risk and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Stays current on emerging employment law developments, compliance trends, and industry best practices to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
  • Leads special projects and enterprise initiatives related to compliance, governance, and risk management.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field, OR any similar combination of education and experience.
  • 7 or more years of progressive experience in Human Resources, compliance, employment law, risk management, employee relations, or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including experience interpreting and applying legal requirements in a multi-state environment.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and administering policies, compliance programs, audits, and risk mitigation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with diverse stakeholders to influence outcomes and drive enterprise-wide compliance initiatives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex compliance concepts into practical business guidance.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify risks, develop solutions, and manage competing priorities.
  • Proven project management skills with experience leading cross-functional initiatives from development through implementation.
  • Ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information while exercising sound judgment and discretion.
  • Self-motivated work style with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with HRIS platforms, compliance systems, or case management tools preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel overnight when needed across the ENPHG geographic footprint.
