Job Summary

The HRBP provides proactive, practical HR support to managers and employees while helping deploy and deliver HR initiatives aligned with the HR strategic plan. 

Job Description

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Supports the development and implementation of HR programs, initiatives, policies, and service delivery strategies aligned with business needs and the HR strategic plan. 
  • Builds trusted relationships with managers to provide practical HR guidance, coaching, and support aligned with business needs. 
  • Advises managers on workforce planning, recruitment needs, organizational design, and talent acquisition strategies aligned with business priorities. 
  • Translates local business requirements into HR goals and actions in alignment with organizational and departmental strategic initiatives. 
  • Assists in designing and delivering onboarding and orientation experiences that support business objectives and culture integration for new employees. 
  • Collaborates with managers to support talent development, leadership development, employee development, and performance improvement strategies that strengthen engagement and organizational capability. 
  • Delivers consultation and training to help managers apply effective people management practices. 
  • Supports employee relations and separation matters in coordination with Employee Relations and Legal, as needed. 
  • Partners with managers, Talent Acquisition, and Total Rewards to create job descriptions. 
  • Partners with Total Rewards using market data and internal equity considerations to provide compensation guidance. 
  • Coordinates with HR centers of excellence, including Total Rewards, Employee Relations, Legal, and Talent Acquisition, to support business priorities and consistent HR service delivery. 
  • Administers and interprets HR policies consistently and provides related guidance to managers. 
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting remain compliant. 
  • Serves as a change agent by influencing stakeholders, gaining buy-in, and coaching managers through change initiatives that support sustainable business results. 
  • May manage direct reports 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered. 
  • Minimum of 7 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in an operational or HR business partner support role. 
  • Experience supporting employee relations, policy interpretation, onboarding, or manager consultation preferred. 
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

•        Hands-on experience with HR technology; Workday experience is preferred. 

•        Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 

•        Effective communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization. 

•        Strong organizational and time management skills. 

•        Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 

•        Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner. 

•        Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify problems and systematically gather relevant information. 

•        Positive, solutions-oriented approach.
