What You'll Be Doing (We don't love the bullet points, but we love the work!)

As the System Administrator, you'll be supporting High Performance Computing sustainment across multi-vendor servers, HPC clusters, and SPD servers. Responsibilities include IT system administration, Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, daily operations, troubleshooting, monitoring, OS and network configuration, system optimization, and capacity planning.
Requirements
  • Three (3) years' experience
  • Bachelors in Technical discipline, or an additional 5 years' experience
  • Requires DoD 8570 IAT II certification (Security +)
Required Skills
  • IT Systems Support and Administration
    • Provide implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for IT systems.
    • Manage daily configuration and operation of IT systems.
    • Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client, server, storage, network, and mobile devices.
    • Assist users with accessing and using IT systems.
  • Help Desk and Escalation Support
    • Provide Tier 1 Help Desk problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
    • Provide Tier 2 escalation support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
    • Escalate issues and communicate status updates to agency management and internal customers.
  • Operating Systems and Infrastructure Management
    • Configure and manage Linux, Unix, Windows, and other applicable operating systems.
    • Install and load operating system software.
    • Troubleshoot, maintain, and configure network components.
    • Implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Performance, Optimization, and Capacity Planning
    • Optimize system operations and resource utilization.
    • Perform system capacity analysis and planning.
Desired Skills
