Job DescriptionThe RoleClifford Chance is seeking a Real Estate Associate with at least four years of experience to join its Real Estate practice, with a particular focus on supporting the continued growth of the firm's Energy & Infrastructure practice.
The associate will advise on sophisticated real estate matters arising in connection with energy and infrastructure development, acquisition and financing transactions. Responsibilities will include drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, option agreements, access agreements and other site-control documentation; conducting and managing title, survey and other real estate due diligence; and identifying and resolving real estate issues affecting project development and financing. The associate will work closely with clients, counterparties, title companies, surveyors, consultants and attorneys across practice areas, while also gaining exposure to broader commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, development projects and financings.
QualificationsYour experience- Experience with real estate matters relating to energy, renewable energy or infrastructure projects strongly preferred.
- Experience with title and survey review, site control, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, easements and related real estate documentation.
- Experience supporting financing transactions from a real estate perspective is particularly valuable.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical and project-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively across practice areas and manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously.
- Excellent academic credentials and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Admission to the Texas bar is required. Submissions must include a resume and law school transcript(s).
Clifford Chance US LLP offers a comprehensive benefits and compensation package. Subject to the candidate's experience, the salary range for this role is $310,000 - $390,000. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
