Overview

UnityPoint Clinic is actively recruiting for a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Marshalltown, IA.

  • Hospitalist NP schedule is 5on/5off with 12-hour shifts
    • 15, 12-hour shifts per month; 7a-7p
  • No ICU coverage
  • Specialists include: Ortho, Surgery, Podiatry and Wound Care


Responsibilities

  • Telehospitalist service overnight
  • No night shifts, no call, no procedures and ER runs codes
  • Blocked scheduling
  • Average census of 8 patients per NP with average of 2 admits/day
  • Physician support available via phone
  • Excellent work/life balance


Qualifications

  • Nurse Practitioner
  • Board Certified
  • Experience preferred
  • Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
  • Eligible to work in the United States
