Description

We are actively seeking an experienced, compassionate palliative care/hospice physician to join our team in Suffolk County. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of large team of experts in the field, and a key provider within a nationally recognized, top-quality, patient-centered network.

The ideal candidate is licensed, board eligible in palliative care and Hospice and comfortable working with a diverse patient population to help relieve the pain, symptoms and stresses of a chronic illness. You must be able to work collaboratively with other members of the team, and offer strong diagnostic, assessment, and treatment skills reflective of a top-ranked healthcare system.

Responsibilities:

  • Certify and recertify hospice eligibility, ensuring timely compliance with Medicare and other regulations.
  • Conduct and supervise face-to-face patient visits, including home consultations for complex cases.
  • Maintain accurate, timely medical documentatino and support regulatory reviews.
  • Collaboriate with hospice leadership on policy development, compliance, and quality assessment and performance improvement (QAP) initiatives.
  • Support educational programs for staff, physicans, and community partners.

Compensation: $250,000 - $350,000

The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.
