Home Health Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

On The Road Position | Pediatric Home Health

Cypress | Houston | Katy | Richmond | Sugar Land

Compensation

$40-$50/hr. | Full-time and part-time opportunities available

What You'll Do
  • Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans with measurable goals under the supervision of a licensed OT
  • Engage pediatric patients with fun, age-appropriate games and activities to promote participation and progress
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent, high-quality care
  • Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner


Who We're Looking For
  • Active COTA certification and valid Texas state license
  • Experience in pediatric occupational therapy preferred
  • Energetic, patient-centered professional comfortable working in home settings


Patient Population

You'll work with children (ages 0-21) with diagnoses including autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, sensory processing disorders, cerebral palsy, and fine/gross motor challenges.

Physical Requirements
  • Maintain various postures (kneeling, sitting, standing, squatting) for extended periods
  • Walk and run for extended periods
  • Transition independently from sitting to standing
  • Utilize quick body movements as required by behavior intervention plans
  • Lift a minimum of 25 pounds
  • Transfer, position, and transport patients and adaptive equipment
  • Read written communication via computer, electronic devices, and paper
  • Perform data collection using electronic devices
