Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in MA, NH, or CT or ability to obtain licensure.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or Bentley OpenRoads; experience in both is advantageous.
• Familiar with HydroCAD or StormCAD.
• Established relationships with CTDOT and municipalities are beneficial.
• Understanding of CTDOT Design Manuals and AASHTO Green Book is crucial.
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills required.

Responsibilities

• Engage in diverse projects including roadway designs, intersection improvements, and drainage enhancements.
• Manage multiple assignments flexibly and efficiently.
• Execute all design tasks including geometry, estimates, and specifications within project constraints.
• Communicate directly with clients, supporting Project Managers in correspondence and meeting preparations.
• Present at public information and municipal meetings to share project details.
• Mentor and provide support to junior engineers on the team.
• Participate actively in professional organizations to foster peer relationships.
