ABOUT THIS ROLE
PEAK6 Capital Management is seeking a talented and motivated High Touch Trader to join our High Touch Desk. This is a seat for someone who has operated in a fast-moving, client-facing trading environment, is ready to bring that institutional depth to a nimble, technology-forward trading firm. You'll work alongside PEAK6 traders and external brokers to execute complex, large notional trades across equity options, index/ETF products, and OTC instruments. You know the product landscape, you've navigated the listed and OTC world, and you thrive under pressure. If you have the instincts of a seasoned bank sales trader.
You'll be responsible for:
- Execute with precision: Manage the execution of trades across equity options, index/ETF products, and OTC instruments, ensuring optimal outcomes aligned with investment strategy.
- Manage the execution of over-the-counter transactions with a strong command of OTC market structure, counterparty relationships and the full breadth of OTC product conventions.
- Apply real options knowledge: Demonstrate working fluency in options theory and its practical application in live markets - not just the textbook.
- Maintain external relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and sell-side analysts to source liquidity, gather intelligence, and facilitate execution.
- Leverage data and technology: Analyze trading flows, volumes, and performance metrics. Leverage and improve proprietary trading tools, and bring an appetite for AI-powered analytics and modern market research approaches.
- Manage and disseminate value-add research and market color to the broader trading team.
YOUR EXPERIENCE- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience withListed and OTC products, equity derivatives, and index/ETF trading.
- Registrations: Series 7 and/or Series 56 (or willingness to obtain).
- Technical skills: Strong proficiency with trading platforms; Python or SQL experience is a plus. Comfort with Google Workspace and an aptitude for adopting new analytics and AI tools.
- Soft skills: Natural sense of urgency, exceptional attention to detail, ability to multitask in a high-stakes environment, and strong communication skills - both internally and with external counterparties.
- Mindset: Entrepreneurial, adaptable, and curious. You want to do more than execute - you want to understand, improve, and contribute.
Compensation for this role includes a base salary and participation in the firms bonus plan. Total compensation is structured to be competitive within the market and scaled to experience and performance.

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and office location. This position also may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to a range of health & wellness benefits, enhancing your overall compensation package.

$100,000-$125,000
