Job Description
The University of Alabama Birmingham Heersink School of Medicine, Department of Surgery is currently recruiting faculty candidates to be considered for an open rank/open tenure faculty appointment as a Transplant Surgeon and Immunologist in the Division of Transplantation. The successful candidate will be expected to meet clinical, research and teaching needs, as applicable, in the Department of Surgery.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will hold an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D., and will be an outstanding leader and highly skilled, widely recognized in the field with a strong track record. Candidate should have substantial professional work experience in one or more areas of research, teaching and/or service.
