Job Description

The Heersink School of Medicine, Department of Surgery is currently recruiting faculty candidates to be considered for an open-rank, non-tenure or tenure track faculty appointment in the Division of Gastrointestinal (GI) Surgery as Chief of the Section of Minimally Invasive Surgery. The successful candidate will be a fellowship trained minimally invasive surgeon. The successful candidate will be expected to meet clinical, research, and teaching needs in the Department of Surgery with an anticipated split of 80% clinical practice focused on MIS and the rest on administrative, education, and research roles. As Section Chief, the candidate will be responsible for leading the Section of Minimally Invasive Surgery in clinical operations, faculty development, and academic growth. The Section Chief will also work with the Division Director to support the Division of GI Surgery and Department of Surgery in their academic missions.
