What You'll Be Doing

The Specialist II will work directly with the SIC Manager on all aspects of the institutional consulting relationship from reviewing Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to determine if they are a good fit for the firm, completing these appropriate RFPs, reviewing and revising investment policy statements (IPS), developing relationships with FAs, performing asset allocation studies, working with our investment manager due diligence team to determine the most appropriate managers for a client portfolio, assisting in monitoring managers once held in client portfolios, and building performance reports and attending client meetings (virtually and in-person). In addition, the Specialist will assist in management of Stifel's Summit Program, which is an advisory program that allows Financial Advisors (FAs) to consult on client assets held away from Stifel. The Specialist II will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and teams throughout the organization to ensure the breadth and depth of the firm's experts and resources are brought to our institutional clientele when needed.

What We're Looking For

• Serve as a point person for SIIC by supporting the SIIC team efforts to achieve our mission of providing high quality investment consulting services to Stifel FAs and their institutional clients.• Management of Requests for Proposal (RFPs).• Assist with review and revision of Investment Policy Statements (IPS).• Partner with Portfolio Solutions and/or investment due diligence for determination of suitable investment managers for client portfolios.• Creation and revision of performance reports using Addepar system.• Creation of investment proposals using Jacobi and Morningstar Direct systems.• Build and maintain SIIC page(s) on Stifel Portal.• Build relationships with FAs by attending and leading client meetings, both virtually and in-person• Oversee clients portfolios between $5,000,000 - $50,000,000

• Experience in the financial services, institutional investment consulting, or brokerage industries.• Team player with a positive attitude that is willing to do the work required to build out a new team and develop a successful line of business for Stifel.• Detailed knowledge and understanding of the institutional investment consulting industry and process.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships• Strong ability to effectively communicate with different audiences from leadership, internal and external stakeholders, and program participants in large groups as well as one-on-one interactions.• Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively during inter-departmental and external interactions.• Gain understanding of the Stifel organization, our advisory programs and fee schedules that will be utilized by our institutional clientele.

Education & Experience

• Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in business or related field• Minimum Required: 3-5 years' investment industry experience.

 

Licenses & Credentials

• Minimum Required: Series 7, 63 and 65 or Series 66 in lieu of 63 and 65 or may obtain within 12 months of hire

Systems & Technology

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook• Knowledge of Morningstar Direct, Thomson/BETA and Vestmark, Addepar a plus

Compensation RangeSalary: USD $85,000.00/Yr. - USD $126,000.00/Yr. Actual salaries may vary, and may be based on several factors, including but not limited to each candidate’s qualifications, skills, and overall competencies for the position. The base salary is one component of Stifel’s overall compensation package for each individual employee.
