Position DescriptionWe are hiring a Healthcare Project Executive who will be responsible for the strategic growth, operational excellence, and overall performance of the healthcare construction sector within their region. Serving as both a senior leader and primary client executive, this role oversees a portfolio of complex healthcare projects while driving business development, team leadership, and financial performance.
Operating at both the strategic and execution levels, the Healthcare Project Executive owns key client relationships, guides project teams, ensures operational rigor, and positions the company as a premier healthcare construction partner. This position will serve as the regional healthcare Project Executive for either the Charlotte or Charleston/Lowcountry market, reporting directly to the VP - Market Leader of Healthcare. The role is responsible for leading healthcare projects, client relationships, and market development within the assigned region while supporting and aligning with the broader strategic vision and standards of the organization's healthcare group.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall growth, strategy, and performance of the healthcare construction sector within the market, developing and executing business plans that expand backlog, revenue, and client partnerships.
- Serve as an executive client leader for key healthcare relationships, maintaining strong partnerships with healthcare systems, administrators, and facilities leadership while ensuring an exceptional client experience from pursuit through project closeout.
- Provide executive oversight for a portfolio of complex healthcare projects, ensuring successful delivery related to schedule, budget, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance within active healthcare environments.
- Partner with preconstruction, operations, and business development teams to identify and secure new opportunities, guide pursuit strategies, and position the organization as a preferred healthcare construction partner.
- Maintain accountability for financial performance within the healthcare sector, including forecasting, fee strategy, margin performance, and risk management across projects.
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing healthcare-focused teams, supporting recruitment, succession planning, and leadership development as the market grows.
- Strengthen the company's presence in the healthcare market through industry engagement, client networking, and strategic relationship development.

Position RequirementsQualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in commercial construction, with significant experience in healthcare projects.
- Proven leadership at the Project Executive or senior operations level.
- Strong understanding of healthcare construction regulations, infection control protocols, and operational constraints of active medical environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-phase, or programmatic healthcare work.
- Established relationships within healthcare systems (preferred).
- Strong financial acumen with experience overseeing large project portfolios.
- Excellent executive-level communication and client-facing skills.
