Full Job Description
As the Healthcare Consulting Director - Reimbursement Specialist, you will:
Interpret complex payer contracts and reimbursement methodologies to evaluate the financial and cash-flow impact of contract terms, operational changes, and revenue cycle initiatives.
Lead reimbursement analyses and delivery for strategic pricing and other specialized engagements, translating detailed findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
Advise Service Capture, CDI/Coding, and Managed Care teams on how proposed initiatives may affect reimbursement, cash collections, and net revenue.
Partner with data and analytics teams to identify, analyze, and apply client data in support of reimbursement modeling, methodology development, and project delivery.
Serve as a subject matter expert to internal teams while maintaining the executive presence and communication skills needed to present findings and recommendations to clients.
Contribute to the continued development and expansion of reimbursement, strategic pricing, and Service Capture methodologies.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required
8+ years of healthcare consulting, provider reimbursement, managed care, revenue cycle, or performance improvement experience.
Deep knowledge of healthcare payer contracts and reimbursement methodologies, including the ability to read, navigate, and interpret contract provisions and assess their financial and cash-flow implications.
Demonstrated experience evaluating the impact of reimbursement structures, contract terms, pricing strategies, and revenue cycle initiatives on provider revenue, utilizing complex healthcare financial and operational data to develop actionable insights and recommendations.
Experience developing or applying reimbursement methodologies, contract modeling, pricing analyses, or revenue optimization strategies within provider, managed care, or consulting environments.
Ability to translate technical contract and reimbursement concepts into clear business implications for internal teams, client executives, and other stakeholders.
Strong client-facing communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills, combined with the ability to work effectively in a primarily internal advisory capacity.
The ability to travel based on client, enterprise, or project needs is an essential function of this role. While travel requirements may vary based on business need, the current average travel in the Healthcare practice is less than 25%, annually.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

The estimated base salary range for this job is $185,000 - $250,000. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron's annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron's pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $240,500 - $325,000. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron's benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs.
