Full Job Description
Health Information Technology Attorney

Hall Render is currently seeking a Health Information Technology attorney with at least 3-7 years of experience to join our Health Operations Practice Group. The position is open to any office, with remote flexibility depending on qualifications and experience.

We're Looking for:
  • A Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar license in good standing in at least one U.S. Jurisdiction where you reside (additional state licenses a plus).
  • Experience in the practice of law, with substantial experience in technology and innovation, with exposure to e-commerce, health IT, artificial intelligence, data privacy and security, fraud and abuse law and EHR interoperability appreciated.
  • Strong skills in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating technology contracts (e.g., SaaS agreements, outsourcing and managed service arrangements, software licensing and data security aspects of medical device and other supply chain purchases) and related agreements such as business associate agreement, data processing agreements, data use agreements, etc..
  • Project management associated with leading a team in complex compliance review, technology commercialization efforts, transactional due diligence and other large skill engagements.
  • Experience advising technology companies, technology-enabled service providers and health care providers that seek to commercialize internally-developed technologies or participate in joint development arrangements.
  • Knowledge of privacy and security considerations related to wearables, mobile health apps, and other digital health technologies used in clinical research is a strong plus.
