We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Head of Talent based in our New York City office to join our Human Resources Leadership Team. If you want to learn, climb, and shine at a company committed to you, then ISS STOXX might be the best move you'll ever make.
As the Head of Talent, you will own talent across the company globally: talent planning, performance management, leadership development, and learning & development. You will co-lead our culture and values work with the Chief Human Resources Officer and the Chief Marketing Officer. You will present to the CEO and the Leadership Team and run the company's talent review and succession processes.
This is a newly created role at an important time for the company. Talent is an essential priority for us and you will have a real opportunity to build simple, scalable programs that help our people and our business grow.
Responsibilities
Talent Strategy, Talent Reviews and Succession:
• Develop and execute a multi-year global talent strategy aligned to business and functional plans.
• Lead the annual talent review and succession planning process with the CEO and Leadership Team, including identifying critical roles, high-potential talent, and development actions.
• Present talent insights, risks, and recommendations directly to the CEO and Leadership Team.
Performance Management and Goals:
• Redesign and run the global performance cycle, including shared company goals, goal cascade, and mid-year and year-end reviews.
• Strengthen accountability and differentiation in how performance is assessed.
• Partner closely with Compensation on promotion approach and governance, including expectations for Managing Director roles, so that performance, pay, and promotion outcomes are consistent and fair.
Leadership Development:
• Define and validate leadership behaviors by level and launch them with supporting training.
• Introduce executive assessments for hiring and succession and implement a 360-degree feedback process.
• Own the leadership development strategy and recommend where to invest.
Learning & Development:
• Lead the global Learning & Development function, including managing and developing a Manila-based Learning & Development lead.
• Conduct a global learning needs analysis, build visibility into learning spend across the company, and recommend a future funding model.
• Design and launch priority programs such as sales training, manager training in a matrix organization, project management, and AI skills and work-process redesign.
• Link learning investments to business priorities and measure results.
Culture and Engagement:
• Co-lead, with the Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief Marketing Officer, the launch and embedding of new company values and the related culture campaign.
• Own the employee listening program, including the annual People survey and Pulse survey, and help leaders turn insights into action plans they own.
• Coach senior leaders on building a high-performing, accountable culture.
Scalable, Data-Driven Delivery:
• Design talent processes that can scale through shared services and global capability centers, using AI and technology where it adds value.
• Use people data and analytics to measure progress and report outcomes to leadership.
Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor's degree required, ideally in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., assessment, coaching) a plus.
Experience
• 10 to 15 years of experience in talent management, organizational development, and/or learning & development, with global scope in a matrixed organization.
• Proven track record designing and running talent reviews, succession planning, performance management, and leadership development programs.
• Experience leading culture and values change, ideally during a period of transformation.
• Financial services, financial data, or fintech experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Confident and credible presenting to and advising a CEO and executive team.
• Data-driven, with working knowledge of HR technology platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) and practical use of AI tools.
• Pragmatic builder who favors simple, adoptable solutions over complex frameworks.
• Able to lead a small, globally distributed team and deliver through influence across HR Business Partners, Compensation, Analytics, and business leaders.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.
Base salary: For New York City-based candidates, the expected annual base salary range for this role is
