THE ROLE Head of PlanningWe're looking for a Head of Planning to join our growing Operations team. You will play a critical role in optimizing Quince's inventory performance by leading all Inventory Planning and Forecasting functions for a specific area of the business portfolio, TBD. In this role, you will own forecasting and replenishment for your business, driving optimal inventory turns, improve in-stock performance, and maximize return on investment. This is a senior individual contributor role with significant ownership and influence.
Because Quince's business model is unique, this position will be equally unique in its execution-combining analytical rigor, strategic partnership, and active collaboration with merchandising, sourcing, technology, and vendor teams. This is a hands-on role that requires a high level of performance and execution, aligned with Quince's operating principles.
Success in this position means working within and building best-in-class forecasting systems that balance product availability with working capital efficiency while supporting Quince's mission to deliver luxury quality at radically low prices. As a part of the Planning team, this person will play a critical role in shaping future Planning processes at Quince, helping to architect the solutions and capabilities of tomorrow to support our rapid growth.
This role will report directly to a VP of Inventory Planning.
Responsibilities- Forecast items at the style-color-size level by week, achieving key performance indicators including in-stock rates, inventory turns, and return on investment.
- Partner closely with the internal sourcing team and external vendors to collaborate on forecasts and maximize product availability.
- Work directly with the technology team to develop and implement integrated, intelligent, and automated forecasting solutions.
- Conduct analytics and root-cause analysis to identify opportunities for KPI improvement.
- Collaborate with sourcing to model vendor relationships, terms, and risk profiles.
- Build short-, mid-, and long-range inventory and replenishment plans that align with business strategy.
- Present forecasts, strategies, and performance updates weekly to executives.
- Manage and mentor one or more team members as the function scales.
QualificationsRequired:- Looking for candidates at the Sr. Manager level or above - Director-level preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in inventory planning, merchandising, or related analytics/technology roles.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or Master's in Supply Chain Management preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in advanced Excel statistical functions.
- Fluency with Google Suite and comfort working with large data sets.
- Experience prototyping inventory optimization techniques and converting insights into scalable technology.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners to maximize opportunities and minimize risks.
- Strong commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Proven ability to find, organize, and use data to draw actionable conclusions with minimal assumptions.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment where established processes may not yet exist.

Pay Range: $189,000 - $247,000All posted ranges are reflective of base salary and may vary depending upon experience level and location. Bonus and equity may also be provided for eligible roles.
