Head of Human Resources

  • New York City (SoHo) | Full-Time | Onsite (5 Days/Week)
  • $175,000 - $200,000 Base + Bonus
  • Domestic & International Travel Required


Building to Scale

A rapidly growing luxury hospitality organization is seeking a Head of Human Resources to build and lead its enterprise people function.

This is not a traditional HR leadership role.

This is an opportunity to create the HR infrastructure, talent strategy, leadership development programs, and people systems that will support a growing international portfolio of luxury hospitality assets.

The organization currently operates multiple luxury properties, with additional openings and acquisitions planned. While local HR teams exist, there is no centralized HR function overseeing the enterprise. The person hired will build that function.

For the right candidate, this is a rare opportunity to become one of the architects of a company's next phase of growth.

What You'll Do

  • Build and lead the enterprise HR function from the ground up
  • Serve as the senior HR advisor to executive leadership
  • Create scalable HR policies, systems, and processes across multiple properties
  • Develop workforce planning, talent acquisition, and succession planning strategies
  • Lead compensation, benefits, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Support hotel openings, acquisitions, and organizational growth
  • Partner with property-level HR leaders to establish enterprise-wide standards
  • Help shape culture, leadership development, and the employee experience across the portfolio


What Success Looks Like

Within your first 24 months, you will:

  • Establish the organization's first enterprise-wide HR function
  • Standardize people processes across multiple properties
  • Successfully support new property openings and acquisitions
  • Build leadership development and succession planning programs
  • Create scalable people infrastructure capable of supporting future growth

You are a builder and a leader.

You enjoy creating structure where none exists and thrive in environments experiencing growth and change through your quality leadership.

You bring:

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience with a leadership track
  • Hospitality industry experience required
  • Experience building HR functions, departments, or enterprise people infrastructure
  • Multi-property or multi-site leadership experience
  • Experience supporting hotel openings, acquisitions, or integrations
  • Strong knowledge of talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, benefits, compliance, and organizational development
  • Experience influencing senior executives and business leaders
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills


Highly Preferred

  • Luxury hotel or luxury resort experience
  • International HR experience
  • Experience leading HR through rapid growth and organizational transformation
  • SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent certification


Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $175,000 - $200,000
