The OpportunityPaces is growing rapidly and looking for a
Head of Engineering, reporting to our CTO and Co-Founder. This is a
hands-on leadership role: you will lead and scale our engineering team, nurture our builder culture, impact product direction and roadmap, write code, and review PRs.
What You'll Achieve- Technical Vision: Define technical vision and execution strategy that align with company goals.
- Execution Excellence: Balance between shipping speed and product quality; define lightweight but effective processes that work for both our software and vertical AI teams.
- Team Building: Recruit, onboard and manage a diverse team of ICs and TLMs; nurture our collaborative and high-velocity engineering culture.
- Hands-On Execution: Stay at the cutting edge of AI coding; design systems, write code and review key PRs.
Requirements- 10+ years of professional software-engineering experience, 3+ years managing and leading multi-team orgs in high-growth startups.
- Proven record scaling engineering organization from 0 -> 1 -> N in data intensive, vertical AI companies.
- Strong, versatile technical background, experienced with full-stack dev, ETL, AI and distributed systems.
- A high degree of comfort digging into systems with deep technology stacks.
- Track record building inclusive, high-performance cultures that attract and retain top talent.
