Job Type
Full-time
Description
We are seeking an experienced electrical systems leader to take direct ownership of the electrical DMC scope within a product line. This role is responsible for driving electrical system performance, margin performance, manufacturability, deployment consistency, and long-term product scalability. This is a product-focused leadership role requiring a builder mindset. The position is responsible for constructing and maturing the electrical operating system for the product line, including system architecture influence, manufacturing integration, field deployment discipline, and structured feedback loops that drive continuous product improvement.
The ideal candidate will lead and develop a dedicated electrical team while collaborating across Program Leadership, Platform Governance, Design, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Practice Groups, and Construction Operations to ensure electrical systems integrate seamlessly into standardized, repeatable manufacturing and deployment environments.
This position is based in Birmingham, Alabama with approximately 55-65% on-site presence and travel to active project sites as required.
Job Responsibilities
• Lead full ownership of the electrical DMC scope within the assigned product line with accountability for system performance, deployment consistency, cost structure, and margin performance.
• Build, mature, and continuously improve the electrical operating system supporting the product line.
• Lead and develop a dedicated electrical team including an Electrical Project Manager, Electrical Designer, Electrical Manufacturing SME, and Electrical Construction Lead.
• Drive alignment between product intent, manufacturing integration, and field deployment execution.
• Influence electrical distribution strategies, panelization approaches, grounding systems, lighting controls integration, and mission-critical interfaces during product definition phases.
• Ensure electrical designs align with manufacturability, repeatability, field performance objectives, and standardized deployment strategies.
• Partner cross-functionally with Program Leadership, Platform Governance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Practice Groups, and Construction teams to improve sourcing strategies, component standardization, deployment methods, and operational efficiency.
• Support the integration of electrical scope into takt-based manufacturing environments while reducing field rework and installation variability.
• Lead early deployment efforts with hands-on operational involvement to ensure successful field execution.
• Establish disciplined performance feedback loops that convert field deployment lessons into structured product revisions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive reductions in variability while increasing deployment predictability, scalability, operational efficiency, and profitability.
• Provide leadership across design integration, manufacturing coordination, commissioning strategy, and field execution activities.
• Support development of long-term electrical systems strategies that position BLOX products for scalable growth in mission-critical environments.
• Travel to active project sites to support deployments, field operations, commissioning activities, and operational alignment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements

• Demonstrated ownership of complex electrical systems from design through deployment.
• Strong experience leading across design coordination, manufacturing integration, construction execution, and operational deployment.
• Direct accountability for electrical cost performance, margin ownership, budgeting, or large-scale financial management.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA requirements, grounding and bonding systems, and electrical power distribution systems.
• Experience with switchgear, generators, UPS systems, utility coordination, mission-critical redundancy architectures, and commissioning integration.
• Ability to interpret and evaluate electrical drawings, specifications, one-line diagrams, and technical design documentation.
• Experience integrating commissioning and operational performance considerations into design and deployment processes.
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience building, mentoring, and developing high-performing technical teams.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, construction, supply chain, and operational leadership teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Experience in data center, mission-critical, or high-reliability environments preferred.
• Experience with prefabrication, modular construction, or repeatable product delivery environments preferred.
• Ability to lead operational change, reduce deployment variability, and improve system standardization in fast-paced environments.
• Professional Engineer (PE), Master Electrician, or equivalent field leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to travel as required to support active deployments and field operations.
