ABOUT THE TEAMThe Tactical Recon and Strike (TRS) team at Anduril develops aerial small drones (Group 1-3) and all equipment to test, deploy and operate. The team is responsible for taking products like Ghost, Bolt, Anvil, and Altius from paper sketches to operational systems. The Tactical Effects Team is a cornerstone business line of the TRS group that is going through tremendous growth. We work in close coordination with specialist teams to solve some of the hardest problems facing our customers. The TRS Operations team is a small but mighty team of business generalists who 'solve for scale' the specific business problems that hamper efficiency or productivity. One project may have you solving staffing inefficiencies across engineering teams, while another project may have you working across manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to help address capacity or production challenges. We are looking for the Head of Operations to support our Ghost and Precision Engagement Systems business lines, based in Costa Mesa, CA.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Own all aspects of business operations and infrastructure, ensuring business development, engineering, and production teams have what they need when they need it to execute
- Serve as the General Manager's chief strategist to balance resource and execution risk against our massive growth plans, regularly monitoring financials to help guide us toward our profitability targets
- Translate growth signals into demand across all operational infrastructure including staffing, real estate, test ranges, classified infrastructure, and production and collaborate with cross-functional partners across Anduril to deliver
- Own the business line's governance structure from business reviews to annual planning and employee onboarding to all hands, developing and evolving information pathways as the organization scales
- Collaborate closely with division leadership to evolve the organizational structure and define and implement strong hiring, onboarding, and execution standards for key functions so we maintain a culture of "doing things differently"
- Execute on special projects, evolve internal processes, spearhead the stand up of new functions, and lead M&A efforts as needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- You have 5-7+ years of varied experience in an operating role at a high-growth technology company, starting a venture, or in finance or consulting
- You love solving complex, ambiguous, cross-functional problems in a people-centric way
- You're both high ownership and low ego, approaching everything with strong outcome orientation and high humility
- You're highly detail oriented and data-driven
- You're discerning and an incredibly fast learner
- You're tactical and enjoy getting into the details.
US Salary Range
$166,000-$220,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
