Full Job Description
The Role

The Head of Americas Marketing is the senior marketing partner to PIMCO's largest and most established businesses. Covering the United States, Canada and Latin America across institutional, wealth and intermediary channels, the role faces off with business and distribution leadership, translates their commercial priorities into full-funnel marketing plans, and is accountable for marketing's contribution to asset growth, client retention, and client experiences.

This is a seat for a leader who has run a full-scale marketing organization and wants the commercial proximity of a business-facing role. The successful candidate leads with a digital-first mindset, knows the target audiences well enough to anticipate how allocators, advisors and intermediary firms evaluate managers, and is fluent across the full marketing toolkit: integrated campaigns, paid media, events, content, digital channels and account-based programs.

The role operates within a connected global marketing organization. The Head of Americas Marketing owns the regional agenda and business relationships, translating regional priorities into clear requirements and influencing delivery across a global matrix.

Key Responsibilities
Audience Expertise and Channel Marketing
  • Build and maintain an evidence-based understanding of Americas audiences, drawing on research, engagement data and field insight to define segments, personas and decision journeys.
  • Lead channel marketing team for the institutional segment, including corporate and public retirement plans, insurers, consultants, endowments and foundations, and sovereign institutions.
  • Lead channel marketing team for wealth management and intermediary channels, spanning wirehouses, independent broker-dealers, registered investment advisors, private banks and platform partners.
  • Tailor the value proposition, messaging and content plan by channel and by key partner firm, working with business partners so that each program reflects how that audience evaluates and buys.
  • Identify common needs and themes across channels to create scalable programs, content and capabilities while preserving the relevance required for priority audiences and partner firms.
  • Ensure content is audience-relevant, accurate and operationally scalable.

Team Leadership and Talent
  • Lead, develop and organize a full-scale team spanning channel and segment marketing, integrated campaigns, digital and events, with clear goals, roles, career paths, performance coaching and standards of accountability.
  • Attract senior talent, invest in building capability across digital, data, audience insight, and build a culture of commercial ambition, collaboration and accountability.
  • Represent Americas on the global marketing leadership team, contributing to global standards and to the center-of-excellence agenda.

Business Partnership and Commercial Strategy
  • Serve as the single point of marketing accountability for Americas business leaders, translating their growth priorities into a prioritized marketing roadmap with defined outcomes, investment levels, and success measures, and reporting results back in commercial terms.
  • Lead the team that owns the Americas marketing strategy and annual plan across institutional, wealth and intermediary channels in the US, Canada and Latin America.
  • Partner with Americas distribution, product and business leadership to align marketing investment behind the strategies, vehicles and client segments that drive asset growth and retention.
  • Act as the senior marketing voice in regional business planning, bringing audience insight, competitive intelligence and market data into strategy, product and distribution decisions.
  • Mobilize cross-functional, center-of-excellence and external resources around priority initiatives, establishing clear ownership, timelines and delivery expectations across the matrix.
  • Set and manage marketing budget, allocating dynamically and in line with business objectives and opportunities.

Full-Funnel Integrated Marketing
  • Own the Americas funnel end to end, setting objectives for awareness, consideration, conversion and retention, and moving investment between stages as performance and business priorities dictate.
  • Manage client retention, cross-sell and acquisition marketing strategies.
  • Lead integrated marketing programs that combine paid media, content, digital, events and field activation behind measurable commercial objectives.
  • Own the Americas event and sponsorship portfolio, including client conferences, roadshows and industry presence, partnering with the business to design events as integrated campaign moments that generate and advance opportunities, oversee effective execution across vendor strategy, audience development, on-site delivery and post-event measurement.

Digital-First Innovation and Account-Based Marketing
  • Advance always-on digital engagement, personalization and account-based activation across the client journey from first touch to funded relationship.
  • Evolve the ABM operating model, covering account selection criteria, orchestration between marketing and sales, engagement scoring, and reporting on account penetration and pipeline influence.
  • Apply intent, behavioral and third-party data to identify in-market accounts and buying groups, and to sequence outreach across digital and field channels.
  • Pilot emerging channels, formats and technologies through disciplined test-and-learn programs, and scale what demonstrates measurable return for the Americas businesses.

Partnership with Marketing Centers of Excellence
  • Serve as the senior Americas business partner to the brand and MarTech centers of excellence, clearly articulating regional requirements and influencing their roadmaps, priorities and delivery commitments.
  • Partner with the brand center of excellence to activate PIMCO's brand platform, creative and thought leadership for Americas audiences, providing regional insight while maintaining alignment with the global expression.
  • Partner with the MarTech center of excellence on the web and personalization agenda, defining regional needs across content management, marketing automation, campaign orchestration and integration with CRM and sales enablement platforms, then putting those capabilities to work in regional programs.
  • Work with content and corporate communications partners to translate PIMCO's macroeconomic and market views into campaigns and content for Americas audiences.

Data, Analytics and Measurement
  • Define the measurement framework connecting activity at every stage of the funnel to engagement, pipeline and asset flows; report performance to business and global marketing leadership on a consistent cadence and translate findings into actionable recommendations for future investment and program optimization.
  • Partner with data and analytics teams to build a unified view of client, prospect and account engagement across digital and field channels, and make that view usable by marketers and by the field.

Sales Enablement and Partner Marketing
  • Equip account managers and sales professionals with the messaging, content and campaign support they need, deliver actionable engagement insight to the field, and maintain clear lead-follow-up and feedback loops between Marketing and distribution.
  • Develop co-marketing programs with distribution partners and platforms that extend reach and deepen relationships.
  • Establish effective operating and governance models for external agencies, vendors and production partners, ensuring quality, timeliness, cost discipline and alignment with business priorities.

Governance, Compliance and Risk
  • Ensure that Americas marketing materials and channels meet SEC, FINRA and other applicable regulatory requirements, maintain an effective review and approval process with Legal and Compliance.
Qualifications
  • 15 or more years of marketing experience, including substantial time leading a full-scale marketing organization with regional or enterprise scope.
  • Deep experience in asset management, wealth management or financial services, with a working understanding of investment products, distribution channels and the drivers of asset flows.
  • A commercial orientation, with a track record of partnering closely with sales or distribution leadership and being measured on business outcomes.
  • Deep audience expertise across institutional and intermediary buyers, with a record of building segmentation, insight and messaging that reflects how those audiences make decisions.
  • Demonstrated leadership of a full-funnel marketing agenda, spanning brand and demand, integrated campaigns, paid media, events, digital channels and account-based marketing.
  • A digital-first mindset, with demonstrated ownership of digital marketing at scale including web, marketing technology, personalization, analytics and the emerging application of artificial intelligence.
  • Hands-on experience designing and scaling ABM programs in partnership with sales or distribution, with measurable impact on account engagement and pipeline.
  • Experience operating in a center-of-excellence or shared-services model, setting clear requirements and securing delivery from functional partners without direct authority.
  • Experience marketing within a regulated environment, with fluency in SEC and FINRA requirements and a genuine partnership orientation toward Legal and Compliance.
  • Proven ability to build and lead large multidisciplinary teams and to manage a substantial marketing budget with financial discipline.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the presence to represent Marketing to executive leadership, clients and partners.
  • Ability to interpret complex investment and financial concepts and translate them into clear, compelling and audience-appropriate communications.
  • Resilient and adaptable, with the judgment, organizational discipline and entrepreneurial mindset to manage competing priorities and deliver through a complex global matrix.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 desired given the client-facing nature of the role; Series 24 an advantage.
