Hazardous Materials Project ManagerYour Role: Hands-On, Impactful, and Fast-PacedAs a Hazardous Materials Project Manager in Nashville, TN you'll take a hands-on role in delivering environmental projects, including Phase I and Phase II ESAs, hazardous building materials assessments, brownfield redevelopment, and regulatory compliance services. You'll guide projects from planning and fieldwork through technical reporting and completion, while providing direction and mentorship to junior team members.
Your work will span both field and office environments, giving you the opportunity to support environmental due diligence, site investigations, industrial and commercial development, brownfield projects, and remediation efforts. This role combines technical expertise, project management, and real-world problem solving to help clients successfully navigate complex environmental challenges.
What You'll Do: - Field Operations & Site Investigations: Plan and oversee field activities, including health and safety planning, site assessments, environmental media sampling, and hazardous building material surveys. Coordinate and monitor drilling, grading, and monitoring well installation activities to ensure work is completed properly and safely.
- Data Analysis & Technical Reporting: Review and interpret environmental sampling and laboratory results and contribute to clear, accurate technical reports for clients and regulatory agencies.
- Project Quality & Compliance: Help manage project activities from planning through completion, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and applicable environmental regulations.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a responsive resource for clients and project partners, communicating project status, findings, expectations, and next steps clearly and professionally.
- Project Planning & Coordination: Support proposals, scheduling, scopes of work, and project tracking while helping keep teams aligned with deadlines and key milestones.
- Budget & Business Development: Monitor project costs and financial performance, identify opportunities to improve project outcomes, and contribute to client development and business growth efforts.
What We're Looking For:- A Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field
- A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience, including progressive Project Management responsibilities
- A Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred. Lead and/or asbestos accreditation/certification a plus.
- A Strong project management and leadership skills
- An excellent business development abilities and existing client relationships in the local market are preferred.
