Job Summary We are seeking an experienced
Guidewire Rating Developer with strong expertise in
Guidewire PolicyCenter Rating to design, develop, and maintain rating solutions for Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Guidewire rating configuration, Gosu development, and PolicyCenter customization, with a solid understanding of insurance rating concepts and Guidewire best practices.
Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain rating algorithms, pricing logic, and rating configurations within Guidewire PolicyCenter.
- Configure and maintain rate books, rate tables, rating factors, modifiers, territories, parameter sets, and underwriting rules.
- Develop, customize, and enhance rating rules and routines using Gosu.
- Collaborate with product managers, actuaries, business analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable and efficient rating solutions.
- Enhance and support the Guidewire PolicyCenter Rating Engine, including DTO-based PC10 Rating (preferred).
- Perform unit testing, regression testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for rating-related enhancements.
- Analyze and resolve rating defects, configuration issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for rating logic, configurations, and rate structures.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to Guidewire development standards and best practices.
- Support PolicyCenter configuration activities and product model enhancements using Product Designer.
- Utilize SQL for data validation, troubleshooting, and production support.
Required Skills & Qualifications - 5+ years of hands-on experience in Guidewire Rating development.

- Familiarity with DTO-based PC10 Rating is an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications - Guidewire Cloud Certification (PolicyCenter Cloud or related Guidewire Cloud certification) is preferred.
- Guidewire Integration Certification (Guidewire Certified Integration Developer or equivalent) is preferred.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
