Full Job Description
Growth, Field (AMER West) @ Clay
We're looking for a Growth, Field to be the "local CMO" for our AMER West sales region. About half of Clay's business now runs through a sales-led motion serving mid-market, enterprise, and strategic accounts, and our field team gets those accounts in a room with our sellers. We already have dedicated field coverage for AMER East. In this role, you'll build the same for the West: third-party tradeshows that source net-new pipeline, and hosted dinners and executive events that accelerate and expand existing deals. You'll work closely with the AMER West sales leadership team and report to our Head of Field Marketing. From day one you'll own a full region end to end, and you'll be measured on the pipeline you source and the return on every dollar you spend.
What You'll Do
• Stand up the AMER West program calendar and target-account list with regional sales leadership, then run the first wave of tradeshows and dinners against it.
• Decide with sellers where event budget goes for the best ROI. Budget moves between regions based on performance, so you'll report sourced pipeline, acceleration and expansion impact, and cost per opportunity for every program.
• Be sales' best friend day to day. Get reps excited to invite the right people to dinners, equip them with invite templates and target lists, and drive follow-up on tradeshow leads until they turn into meetings and opportunities.
• Set up a steady working rhythm with AMER West sales managers and directors, covering planning, pipeline reviews, and post-event retros.
• Partner with your AMER East counterpart so the two regions share a consistent cadence, playbook, and reporting.
• Use agents and automation to run programs leaner than the headcount suggests. As the team grows, help shape scope for future field marketers in the region.
What You'll Bring
• 4-8 years in field or regional marketing at a B2B company with a meaningful sales-led motion, ideally acting as the marketing lead for a specific sales region.
• A track record of running both third-party tradeshows and hosted first-party dinners or executive events, and the pipeline numbers to show for it.
• Comfort owning a budget and being judged on sourced pipeline, cost per opportunity, and ROI.
• Credibility with sellers and sales leaders. You know how to get reps bought in and following through, not just showing up.
• Obsessive execution: you deliver polished events at volume without losing sight of the pipeline behind them.
• Operational rigor: you build target lists, invite plans, and follow-up plays before you book venues.
• You are AI forward: you use agents and automation to plan, promote, and follow up on programs efficiently.
• Strongly preferred: experience building in Clay.
